Tab Manager Pro - Privacy Policy

Overview

Tab Manager Pro is a browser extension that uses artificial intelligence to organize your browser tabs. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the data we handle.

Data Collection

Tab Manager Pro does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers. All extension data is stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local.

Data Stored Locally

• API Keys: Your AI provider API keys (Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, Mistral) are stored locally in your browser and are never sent to our servers.
• Sessions & Workspaces: Saved tab sessions and workspace configurations are stored locally.
• Chat History: Conversation history with the AI assistant is stored locally.
• Preferences: Your provider configuration and extension preferences are stored locally.

Third-Party Services

When you use AI features, your tab information (titles and URLs) is sent to your chosen AI provider:

• Anthropic (Claude): Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy
• OpenAI (GPT): Subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy
• Google (Gemini): Subject to Google's Privacy Policy
• Mistral AI: Subject to Mistral's Privacy Policy
• Ollama (Local): When using Ollama, all processing happens on your local machine. No data is sent to external servers.

For error monitoring, anonymous error reports may be sent to Sentry (when configured), subject to Sentry's Privacy Policy. No personal data or API keys are included in error reports.

Permissions

• tabs: Required to read tab titles and URLs for AI grouping and session management.
• storage: Required to persist your settings, sessions, and workspaces locally.
• tabGroups: Required to create and manage Chrome tab groups.
• sidePanel: Required for the AI chat side panel.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your data to third parties. The only data transmitted externally is:

• Tab titles and URLs sent to your chosen AI provider for analysis (only when you explicitly trigger an AI action).

Data Deletion

All locally stored data can be deleted by:

• Uninstalling the extension (removes all stored data).
• Clearing your browser's extension data.
• Using the "Clear" button in the chat panel to delete conversation history.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
